Master of Malt traces its roots to 1985, when it began as a small independent bottler fulfilling mail-order requests for single malt whiskies. The business was transformed in the early 2000s when it moved entirely online, and has since grown into one of the UK's largest specialist drinks retailers - now fully founder-owned and independent.

Master of Malt is particularly well known for its "Drinks by the Dram" format - 3cl sample-size bottles that allow you to try before committing to a full bottle. As an independent bottler in their own right, Master of Malt selects and bottles single casks under their own label. These releases are chosen by their in-house team and often showcase unusual cask finishes or expressions you won't find in a distillery's core range.
