Springbank is one of Scotch whisky's most admired distilleries, produced in Campbeltown by J. & A. Mitchell and still deeply rooted in traditional methods. Distilling on the same site since 1828, it's often recognised for doing the entire production process on site, from malting to bottling, a level of control that has become increasingly rare in modern Scotch. That hands-on approach is central to the distillery's reputation and to the strong sense of authenticity that surrounds the brand.

The whisky itself is distinctive: lightly peated, partially triple distilled and shaped by a maritime Campbeltown character that brings together oiliness, salt, fruit, earth and gentle smoke. Springbank's core range includes 10, 12, 15, 18 and 21 Year Old bottlings, each displaying a slightly different balance of cask influence and house character, but all recognisably Springbank in style.

Part of the brand's appeal also comes from the broader distilling culture that surrounds it. Alongside Springbank itself, the same distillery produces Longrow, a more heavily peated malt first made in 1973, and Hazelburn, an unpeated, triple-distilled style first produced in 1997. Together they demonstrate the versatility of the site, but Springbank remains the flagship: a whisky valued for texture, individuality and a way of making whisky that feels increasingly uncommon in Scotland.
