Kilchoman Sanaig, first released in France before becoming more widely available in 2016, is matured in a combination of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. On the nose, caramel and vanilla accompany soft cooked fruits. The palate offers toffee and citrus alongside peat smoke, with a finish that brings fruit and sweetness into beautiful balance. Bottled at 46% ABV, this Islay malt achieves an excellent equilibrium between smoky and sweet.
